If I don't start the script according to the documentation, will it cause any issues?

If the script is used with exports, not starting it according to the documentation may cause issues.

What is the minimum supported framework version?

The script operates independently and is not dependent on any framework.

Will I encounter any optimization issues?

The script does not trigger any unnecessary server-side or client-side events. A lightweight client-side loop is only active while Freecam is enabled, solely to update the camera position in real time. Outside of Freecam usage, no loops are running, ensuring full optimization and minimal resmon usage.
